It’s always a real pleasure to hit the road and tour a band we love. The Preatures sit way up high to the lofty heights of the outer universe in our regards as a band, and a bunch of all round legends.
Over the past month, we travelled with The Preatures through the clouds, the blue skies, the highways and the dusty back streets. We travelled with them through dark nights, early mornings, rain and blazing sunshine. The Preatures rolled into Geelong at dusk. The final leg of the Sunsets Tour had reached Victoria and even though everyone was bleary-eyed from the Aria’s the previous evening, it didn’t stop Izzi and the boys playing a roaring set to a captivated crowd at Lamby’s. It was a sign that the final weekend of the tour was going to go off with a big big bang. We thundered back to Melbourne after the show, listening to tracks that haven’t aged well from our youth. The third leg of the Sunsets Tour saw The Preatures roll into the sunny state of Queensland, and boy did we come in hot. Hot like the Fraser Coast on a Friday night.
