What happens when you press pause on the main rounds of competition at the Corona Open J-Bay and send four of the world’s most elite surfers out Supertubes on ‘alternate’ surf craft?

The first ever Corona Highline event featured some of the most stylish surfing we’ve seen in a long time! Matt Wilkinson, Jordy Smith, Conner Coffin and Sebastian Zietz all put on an absolute show, ripping apart pumping J-Bayon on locally hand shaped retro twin fins – does it get much better?

The event was broadcasted exclusively on Facebook live following the final heat of Round One competition, with the winner of the speciality four man heat determined by via hashtag online voting.

While all four competitors threw down some impressive hot-doggin’, stylish carves and off-the-top rail work, it was local hero Jordy Smith who walked away with the popular vote, and the first ever Corona Highline win.
